喜愛音樂的他，在某次大賽中選了一首「擁抱天堂」當做比賽後勝利的謝幕曲。結果該場比賽馬斯克不負眾望，贏得非常漂亮，該曲也立即竄上德國單曲排行榜冠軍。第二次的衛冕賽中，他邀請心儀的女歌手莎拉布萊曼獻唱一曲「榮耀之光」，亦為比賽生色不少。
一九九六年十一月，馬斯克決定要為自己光榮的拳壇生涯畫上一個完美的句點。他希望在告別之役中，再次邀請莎拉演唱，而且指定自己喜愛的義大利盲歌手安德烈波伽利演唱的「告別的時刻」作為開場曲，促成了波伽利和莎拉的合作。
比賽開始前，莎拉‧布萊曼牽著波伽利的手，讓他能面對觀眾，優美的「告別的時刻」揚起 - - - -。
然而，世上沒有永遠的勝利，馬斯克竟然在告別賽中落敗，現場及電視機前的觀眾一陣錯愕，當馬斯克黯然謝幕時，「告別的時刻」再度揚起，德國民眾感傷不已，隔天，該曲一路攀升至排行榜冠軍

這首歌推出的時候，我們剛買了一部車子，Nissan March的古典版 Nissan Verita 車子。古典的造形，配上這個音樂。太棒了！Sarah Brightman 也有唱英文的版本，歌詞也比較好懂。但義大利文的版本還是比較好聽！
原曲Andrea Bocelli唱的是 Con te partirò，意思是“永遠相隨“，而英文的 Time to say goodbye 卻是告別的時刻，意思反差很大。應該和馬斯克引退有關吧！
